AVIMETAL × X‑Humanoid | Metal 3D Printing for the Embodied TianGong 3.0 Robot

2026-09-01

AVIMETAL Showcases Metal 3D Printing Solutions for Embodied Robots at 2026 World Robot Conference

Life-Size "Tiangong 3.0" Model Demonstrates Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

At the center of AVIMETAL's booth is a 1:1 scale model of the "Tiangong 3.0" embodied robot. Key structural components—including the wrist, upper arm, and leg shells—were manufactured using the company's MT400M and MT650 equipment with AlSi10Mg aluminum alloy powder through laser powder bed fusion. These components feature topology-optimized hollow structures and conformal cooling channel designs, which reduce overall weight while maintaining tensile strength, load-bearing capacity, and impact toughness. The result is improved energy efficiency under dynamic operating conditions—a feature that has drawn significant attention from industry professionals.

Production-Ready Equipment Portfolio for High-Efficiency Batch Printing

For the first time, AVIMETAL is showcasing a series of typical mass-production cases printed by its robot-industry-specific equipment, including the MT400M, MT450, and MT650 series. Exhibits include full-plate upper arm components for the "Tiangong 3.0," robotic limb assemblies, and mixed-component prints combining arms, wrists, and leg shells.

Compared to traditional machining, metal 3D printing eliminates the need for mold tooling, enables monolithic forming of complex structures, reduces part count and assembly steps, and significantly shortens the R&D iteration cycle. To address the robotics industry's core requirements for precision, efficiency, multi-material compatibility, and end-to-end process support, AVIMETAL has developed a series of metal 3D printing systems including the MT280, MT400M, MT400S, MT450, and MT650. With build envelopes ranging from 265×265×400 mm to 650×650×1500 mm, these systems meet the high-precision, lightweight batch production needs of robotic limbs and internal structural components of various sizes.

Comprehensive Material Portfolio for Diverse Application Scenarios

Metal 3D-printed components for embodied robots demand strict performance in lightweighting, high strength, and formability. Core structural parts, in particular, require high specific strength, material density, surface quality, and corrosion resistance. AVIMETAL offers a broad range of high-performance metal powders precisely matched to different robotic applications, including TC4, TA15, and TC11 titanium alloys; AlSi10Mg and AlMgErZr aluminum alloys; 316L, CX, 17-4PH, and 18Ni300 steel alloys; Cu, CuCrZr, and CuSi10 copper alloys; and GH4169 and GH3625 superalloys.

Industry Dialogue and Future Collaboration

Throughout the conference, AVIMETAL's booth has served as a hub for in-depth discussions on the application prospects of metal 3D printing in embodied robotics, mass-production processes, and material selection. From prototype validation to serial production, the company provides embodied robot manufacturers with comprehensive support in equipment, materials, and process technology, empowering the industry's intelligent manufacturing transformation.

AVIMETAL warmly invites industry partners to visit Booth A209 in the JINGCHENG Machinery & Electric joint exhibition area to explore the future of metal 3D printing and embodied robotics integration.
